Install an edge node

The node records cameras on site. Local admin is https://node:8443.

Package access is coordinated through notify / request access during the interest phase. When you have a build, verify its SHA-256 before you run it.

What you will have

  • An edge node process that accepts camera streams and writes continuous record.
  • Local admin at https://node:8443.
  • An outbound TLS/mTLS connection to the orchestrator on port 443.
  • A Node ID, generated on first start, used to redeem a licence.

Intended sequence

  1. Request access and receive package details.
  2. Verify the SHA-256 for the build you received.
  3. Install on the site host that can reach the cameras.
  4. Open https://node:8443 and complete first-run setup.
  5. Copy the Node ID, then complete activation with the code we provide.

Network

TLS/mTLS to the orchestrator uses port :443 (the node dials out). Local admin listens at https://node:8443 — keep it on the site network, not on the internet. You do not open a special inbound video port for the orchestrator.
